TAMARAC, Fla. – Top 100 retailer City Furniture has added a new technology solution designed to streamline its product information management and omnichannel processes as well as speed up delivery of digital initiatives.
Digital solutions firm StrikeTru deployed the Akeneo enterprise PIM solution with the goal of helping City Furniture as it adds new stores, expands product lineups and improves the customer experience. The retailer has 17 City Furniture stores in its network, as well as 12 Ashley HomeStore locations.
“StrikeTru did a great job helping us modernize our IT and content management operations by implementing and customizing a PIM solution to our unique business needs,” said Juan Lopez, senior manager of digital technology at City Furniture. “We look forward to exploring how these new capabilities will add firepower to our digital marketing, e-commerce and business growth initiatives.”
Vik Gundoju, a partner at StrikeTru, said, “Our goal was to help select and implement a PIM system that is user-friendly, secure, scalable and integrated with the company’s existing Enterprise Resource Planning, Digital Asset Management and e-commerce systems. The ability to centrally manage all product data, view and share aggregated data in real-time and enrich it for cross-channel publishing is critical for today’s retailers.”
When City Furniture began working with StrikeTru last July, company President Keith Koenig said, “We selected StrikeTru for its understanding of our industry, mastery of PIM technology and track record of delivering transformational PIM projects at scale.”
